Course Description
Cultural competency is an essential aspect of health care. Therefore, acupuncturists should work to achieve cultural competency in order to optimize patient care and patient outcomes. This course reviews how acupuncturists can achieve cultural competency, while outlining cultural competency recommendations. This course also provides insight into health equity, while highlighting how acupuncturists can achieve health equality when caring for patients with disabilities and mental health conditions.
