Course Description
Needle stick injuries are dangerous. The question is, how should an acupuncturist respond to a needle stick injury? This acupuncture course will answer that very question, while providing insight into needle stick injuries. This course will also review how acupuncturists can prevent needle stick injuries.  
 
Course Objectives
Discover how acupuncturists should respond to a needle stick injury, while obtaining insight into bloodborne pathogens.
Identify concepts central to understanding needle stick injuries, such as risk factors and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
Examine how acupuncturists should safely and effectively dispose of sharps.
