Course Description
Research presented by the Centers for Disease Control andCourse Description Prevention (CDC) indicates that the rates of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are higher than ever before, and they may be on the rise. Therefore, acupuncturists should possess insight into ADHD to best serve patients in need. This course will provide insight into ADHD, as well as review ADHD treatment recommendations to build awareness among acupuncturists so they may work to optimize patient care.
 
Course Objectives
Explore concepts central to recognizing patients living with ADHD, while obtaining insight into ADHD-related coexisting conditions and complications. 
Examine concepts related to the safe and effective administration of acupuncture to ADHD patients.  
Review ADHD treatment recommendations.
